LHRC Engages Students at Sululu Secondary School on Girls' Right to Education After Childbirth
LHRC visited Sululu Secondary School in Masasi District, Mtwara Region, where they engaged with the students. During the interaction, program officers from LHRC had the opportunity to converse with the students about the Government's decision to permit girls who have given birth to return to school after childbirth.
Most of the students applauded this decision, expressing that it is fair and will help reinstate the educational aspirations of female students, allowing them to fulfill their fundamental right to education, just like boys. In 2022, LHRC successfully won a case that provides an opportunity to support girls who have given birth by returning to school and continuing their studies.
